Persistence does bear fruit!
I went through Ubuntu forum and found a solution to my WiFi issue. All i had to do was enter the following command in the GNOME-Terminal:
sudo wlanctl-ng wlan0 lnxreq_ifstate ifstate=enable
sudo wlanctl-ng wlan0 lnxreq_autojoin ssid="" authtype=opensystem
sudo iwconfig
sudo dhclient wlan0
And the wireless starts to function seamlessly ^_^
Then i prepared a text file containing the above command which i will run in the GNOME-Terminal to enable the WiFi everytime i turn on the computer.
And this post has been made through wireless Ubuntu ~_^
PS: i finally disabled the WEP security on my WiFi router, now my wireless internet is open to all in vicinity to share ^^
